![]() By Luis Aguayo Staff Writer Confidence. Not everyone has confidence before a game, but a team that has confidence stays undefeated. Hubbard has had tons of support for their sports team. In previous years, the sports teams at Hubbard went undefeated and the main reason was because of Hubbard’s confidence in their sports team. What about the coaches? Do the coaches have confidence in what they say? In my interview with the Softball assistant coach, Coach O’Hara, he told the Cavalier, “This year’s softball team is really spectacular because I have too much confidence.” The coaches had extreme confidence in the Boys Softball Team last year. It was a great season for the Boys Softball team, but the season came to an end with a record of eight wins and two losses. This was the first year that the Boys Softball team didn’t make playoffs. The team understands why they couldn’t make the playoffs, but will continue to look forward to the future seasons. When Coach O’Hara was asked if this season is going to be “The One” for the team, he answered, “It better be ‘The One’ because a lot of players that have been in the program for a while are graduating.” The player’s confidence levels are going through the roof knowing that this is their last year, and they want to go all the way. One of the players, Edwin Calvillo, Div. 403, said, “I like how the team is doing right now because we’ve been shutting out teams, and we’re going to take it all the way this year.” Even though the coaches and players have shown an enormous amount of confidence with the players that have been with them for four years, they will continue to have confidence in their teams every year.
